Like a Mighty Army is the classic chronicle of the history of the Church of God. Charles W. Conn published the first edition in 1955 while serving as editor in chief for the Church of God Publications. The original volume, which covered the COG history from 1886 to1955, was followed by updates in 1977 and 1966. The 1996 update, called the Definitive Edition, would be the last revision to pour forth from the pen of this prolific writer. Dr. Charles. W. Conn passed from this life to his eternal home on March 18, 2008, at the age of eighty-eight.
