Teenagers are constantly told that they can do anything they want with their lives, that they can reach any goal if they’re willing to work hard. Many students believe this to be true, but can’t find anything worth pursuing. They’ve seen the hopelessness in money, status, drugs, and failed marriages. They end up with giant potential and no targets worth aiming at.
Our hope and prayer for this generation of Christian students is that they’ll discover the only path worth following, the only goal worth their potential: becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ and serving Him.
We want the Zelos Journal for Student Disciples to be a tool in accomplishing two goals. Jesus called us not only to be His disciples, but to make disciples. So first, we hope that students will be able to use Zelos on their own to dig deeper into God’s Word and apply it to their right-now lives. We also want to give youth workers and teachers a tool to use with students as they disciple teenagers into committed Jesus-followers.
