A Critical Time Out

A Critical Time Out

There is no question that God at times today is lifting His protective hand off our country. For decades we have told God that we don’t want Him in our schools, in our governments, or in many of our public venues. We have said that we don’t want His word (the Bible) read, or His Son, Jesus, mentioned when we pray in public. We hold interfaith prayer services where He is treated as an equal to false gods or no gods like Allah, Buhha, Shang Ti, and others. God is offended and angered by our rebellion. In the Old Testament, God often allowed Israel’s enemies to chasten His own people so they would humble themselves and see their need for Him. He is not above doing that in America as well. The question remains then, will the young generation of today look to the Deliverer, Jesus Christ, or look to the cultural gods of their age?" more

The Life Of Moses PB

The Life Of Moses PB

The book of Exodus records substantial portions of the life of Moses, who is perhaps the best known figure of the Old Testament. However, many people fail to realize that the account of Moses’ early life and his leadership of Israel out of Egypt in many ways parallel the hero legends of the ancient Near East. In this book, Brian Peterson not only offers a new translation of most of Exodus; he also gives commentary on the text germane to its historical milieu. In a concise and straightforward handling of the text, Peterson brings to life Moses, the hero of the Old Testament period. more

The Tech-Wise Family HC

The Tech-Wise Family HC

Making conscientious choices about technology in our families is more than just using internet filters and determining screen time limits for our children. It's about developing wisdom, character, and courage in the way we use digital media rather than accepting technology's promises of ease, instant gratification, and the world's knowledge at our fingertips. And it's definitely not just about the kids. Drawing on in-depth original research from the Barna Group, Andy Crouch shows readers that the choices we make about technology have consequences we may never have considered. He takes readers beyond the typical questions of what, where, and when and instead challenges them to answer provocative questions like, Who do we want to be as a family? and How does our use of a particular technology move us closer or farther away from that goal? Anyone who has felt their family relationships suffer or their time slip away amid technology's distractions will find in this book a path forward to reclaiming their real life in a world of devices. more

Understanding The Ministry Of The Holy Spirit

Understanding The Ministry Of The Holy Spirit

With the birth of the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements in the twentieth century and their amazing growth in recent years has come a new interest in the Bible’s teaching and the church’s doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Unquestionably, God is pouring out the Holy Spirit and bringing more people than ever before in history into the Kingdom. God decided before the foundation of the world that He would not let the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, be in vain. From the beginning, God sovereignly planned that these end times—before the return of Christ—would be times filled with an overwhelming deluge of His Holy Spirit, calling people to His side from the four corners of the Earth. More than ever, it seems critically important for God’s people to have a vibrant, personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. As believers welcome the activity of the Holy Spirit in the church, questions of theology and practice arise. In this book, Dr. Raymond Culpepper responds to 24 key questions related to the ministry of the Spirit. Learning the answers to the questions will ensure a correct and orderly manifestation of the Spirit’s ministry. more
